From Danang (Hoi An)

Bus Travel

For travel from Hoi An or Da Nang to Dong Hoi or Phong Nha, we recommend using the services of Hanh Café/Hung Thanh Bus Company (a partnership between the two companies). The ticket costs 250,000 VND per person, with departures from Hoi An at 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM daily. You will start your journey on the Hanh Café Bus from Hoi An or Da Nang, and then transfer to a Hung Thanh Bus in Hue to continue to Dong Hoi or Phong Nha.

If you are traveling from Dong Hoi or Phong Nha to Hoi An, Hung Thanh Bus Company departs from Thanh Phat Hotel in Phong Nha between 4:00 – 4:30 AM. The bus will stop in Hue for a transfer, and then continue to Da Nang and Hoi An, arriving in Hoi An around 11:00 AM. The fare ranges from 220,000 – 250,000 VND per person.

Train Travel

Hoi An does not have a train station, so you will need to travel to Da Nang first if you wish to take the train. The best train options from Da Nang to Dong Hoi are:

Private Transfer

For a more convenient journey between Da Nang or Hoi An and Phong Nha, you can book a private transfer. The cost is 4,000,000 VND per trip from Da Nang and 4,500,000 VND per trip from Hoi An, in a comfortable 4 – 7 seater car (fits 4 people comfortably with luggage or up to 7 with less luggage).
