Paradise Cave (Thien Duong Cave) captivates visitors with its pristine beauty, resembling a majestic natural masterpiece. Since opening to visitors, the cave has attracted countless admirers eager to witness its astonishing beauty. Expert cave explorers have shared that the deeper one travels into Paradise Cave, the more breathtaking and surreal the scenery becomes. With heights reaching up to 72 meters and widths of up to 150 meters, the cave is adorned with stunning crystal-white stalactites, towering limestone columns, and remarkable formations. Discovered in 2005 by experts from the British Caving Research Association, Paradise Cave extends 31.4 km, making it the longest dry cave in Asia.

Phong Nha Cave
Phong Nha Cave is more than just a UNESCO World Heritage Site—it’s also a historic relic associated with the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail. During the war, the cave served as a strategic hiding place for floating bridges, carefully concealed during daylight to avoid enemy detection and bombing. These bridges were vital for transporting supplies from the North to the South, allowing trucks to safely cross rivers. Additionally, the cave once functioned as a hidden hospital, with weapons installed at its entrance. After its location was exposed, Phong Nha endured heavy bombing, leaving the visible scars still evident today. Now, this area has become the iconic starting point of the Ho Chi Minh trail, known for its lush mountains and rich historical significance.

Itinerary

Daily Tour Itinerary

07:30 – 08:00 AM: Our car and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Dong Hoi and drive you to Paradise Cave – the longest dry cave in Asia, located within the core zone of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. The journey is about 75 km and takes approximately 80 minutes.

08:30 – 09:00 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Phong Nha village and transfer you to Paradise Cave.

Upon arrival, you will take a golf cart ride (1.6 km) through the jungle to the cave entrance, where a short climb awaits you, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountainous landscape.

12:00 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant in Phong Nha village. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese meal with a vegetarian option available. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

14:00 PM: Depart for Phong Nha Cave. You will take a 25-minute traditional dragon boat ride to reach the cave. Phong Nha Cave is famous for its underground river, making it a “water cave.” After entering by boat, you will explore the first 300 meters of the cave on foot, where you will see breathtaking rock formations, such as the “Lion,” “Fairy Caves,” “Royal Court,” and “Buddha.”

16:30 PM: Tour ends. You will return to Phong Nha village and then be transferred back to Dong Hoi. 17:00 – 17:30 PM: Arrival at your hotel in Dong Hoi.
